A delegation from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) visited the Girls' Protection and Empowerment Center through a pioneering approach in Al-Makha District, Taiz Governorate. The center, managed by HUMAN ACCESS, is part of the second phase of the Girls' Protection and Empowerment through a Pioneer Approach project, funded by UNICEF.

The visiting delegation was headed by Mr. Obia Ashing, Deputy Representative of UNICEF for Programs and Acting Representative in Yemen, Dr. Sahar Hijazi, Director of the UNICEF office in Aden, and Mr. Mujeeb Sultan, Child Protection Officer at the organization's office in Yemen.

The UNICEF delegation reviewed the center's operations, the various activities implemented, the mechanisms for delivering vital services to the target groups, and the coordination mechanisms. They also discussed field challenges and gathered feedback from some of the beneficiaries.

The visiting delegation commended the efforts made to protect and empower women affected by the conflict in Yemen as a key approach to mitigating the effects of the conflict, protecting the most vulnerable groups, preserving human dignity, alleviating economic pressures on families, and achieving social stability.
