HUMAN ACCESS continues to implement the activities of the 16 Days of Activism campaign to combat violence against women and girls, as part of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to highlight the urgent need to end violence.

In Taiz governorate, the safe space in Al-Ma'afer district honored 30 female entrepreneurs and volunteers in humanitarian work, in collaboration with the Reef Foundation and in the presence of the local authority representatives in the district.

The honoring event included several awareness-raising segments on gender-based violence.

In Al-Muzaffar district, the safe space honored three women with special needs. The honoring ceremony involved a series of entertainment and awareness-raising segments to draw attention to the alarming rise in violence against women and girls and the need to mitigate and respond to the resulting risks, especially in humanitarian cases, to achieve the sustainable development goals.

In Marib governorate, the safe space in Al-Mujamma area organized a lecture on electronic blackmail and ways to combat it legally and technically.

The lecture targeted girl students from a primary and secondary school in order to educate the community about the dangers of this type of gender-based violence and to protect women and girls from this widespread phenomenon in today’s world.
