The safe space for women and girls in the city of Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, received a delegation from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), which included Dr. Jean-Paul Umurungi, Director of the Fund's office in Aden, Dr. Ahlam Bin Buraik, Coordinator of Reproductive Health Projects, and Ahmed Sharaf Ibrahim, Coordinator of GBV Programs.

The visiting delegation toured the offices of the safe space and was briefed on the services provided for the advancement of women and girls and the support offered for their legitimate rights.

A discussion between the visiting team members and the specialists took place regarding the progress of performance and the difficulties they encountered.

At the end of the visit, Dr. Jean-Paul thanked the safe space and HUMAN ACCESS staff for their efforts to promote and protect women's rights.

It is worth noting that through a partnership with UNFPA, HUMAN ACCESS is implementing the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls” in several governorates with the aim of empowering women to achieve the positive change they wish to achieve and defending their rights in order to reach their full potential.
