HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa and Marib governorates implemented a wide range of activities as part of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to educate women about their role in society and raise their intellectual and cultural level.

In Shabwa, the safe space in the city of Ataq held community awareness about psychological pressures, addressing the causes of psychological pressures, how to alleviate them, and the importance of positive thinking that helps individuals confront difficulties and challenges, enabling them to gain self-confidence and support others.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Mujamma area hosted a focus group discussion to assess gender gaps and gender-based violence and effective interventions to reduce its consequences, with the attendance of 12 women.

A community awareness campaign was also conducted on gender-based violence as a danger which undermines society's value and hinders women's participation in society.

In Al-Matar area, the safe space organized two awareness sessions, the first on early marriage and forced marriage as harmful and violent practices that have serious negative consequences for everyone.

The second session addressed the laws of happiness, attended by 19 women, in addition to organizing group psychological support on managing psychological stress, attended by 45 girls.

In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space performed psychological support on psychological resilience, attended by 28 women.

Furthermore, seven awareness sessions were organized, focusing on the space's services, complaints and suggestions box, methods of raising children, the differences between raising children and caring for them, the characteristics of a strong woman, violence against women, and legal consultations and identification documents, all designed to raise awareness and education about these important topics.
