HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa and Marib governorates carried out a wide range of important activities under the umbrella of the “Safe Space for Women and Girls” protection and livelihood support project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to meet the most critical needs of women in Yemen and shape a sustainable future.

As a response to the desire of many women and visitors to the safe space to learn this income-generating craft in order to be able to live independently and build a prosperous life, the safe space in Ataq city in Shabwa organized a training program for 20 women in the field of hairdressing and beautification.

The space also carried out community awareness about the importance of education during a field visit, stressing the importance of women’s education as an essential source of their empowerment.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Mujamma area delivered dignity kits to the most vulnerable women and girls, including a set of basic and necessary needs for women and girls.

As part of the effort to enhance mental health care after Yemen's conflict caused severe damage to the population's mental health, the safe space in Al-Jufaina area organized psychological support for postpartum depression and prevention, in the presence of 20 visitors.
