Under the slogan "Unite", the community center for displaced persons of HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate held two events within the context of the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence campaign with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to ensure that women of all walks of life live free from violence and coercion.
A sports tournament was organized on this occasion at Al-Tati Stadium by the center to draw attention to violence against women, in the presence of UNHCR personnel in Marib office, officials of the Youth and Sports office, and the Executive Unit for Displaced.
The tournament also included awareness sessions, posters and brochures to raise awareness about the problems faced by women.
A community awareness campaign was in addition carried out by the center targeting 20 displaced persons on gender-based violence in order to make violence against women and girls one of the most serious global issues.
