Within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS conducted a number of activities in Hadhramaut and Marib governorates to support women in Yemen and empower them economically and enhance livelihoods to prevent poverty and unemployment.
A training program in financial marketing was implemented by the Safe Space in the city of Seiyun, Wadi Hadhramaut, for 25 women targeted in two courses in beauty, hairdressing, and sweets and pastries. In addition to providing the beneficiaries with financial and marketing skills, the project strives to push them to innovate and develop their products and to face the challenges of the labor market.
In Marib, the space in Al-Jufaina area carried out a group psychological support session on the importance of psychological immunity to prevent mental disorders and achieve the highest levels of psychological safety.
Training courses in sewing and pastry making were also completed by the safe space for 28 beneficiaries, in an effort to equip them with life, marketing, and financial skills.
In Marib Al-Wadi, the safe space concluded a training course in life, marketing and financial skills for beneficiaries of economic empowerment projects to increase their competitiveness in the labor market and the success of their own projects.
Furthermore, the space concluded a training course in the manufacture of incense and perfumes as part of the vocational rehabilitation programs for the first quarter of this year.
