Dr. Abdulwase Alwasea, Secretary-General of HUMAN ACCESS, visited the integrated project, which is being implemented by the association in Marib Governorate, with funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The project includes the protection, shelter and camp management sectors, to improve the lives of vulnerable displaced people and enhance their resilience, in light of the increasing humanitarian needs and challenges in Yemen due to the ongoing conflict.
In the course of the visit, the Secretary-General of HUMAN ACCESS met with the integrated project management, coordinators, and staff, who briefed him on the progress and services provided by the project to displaced and affected families. The effort made has been praised, as it stems from a concentrated, highly impactful goal of ensuring the most vulnerable displaced people are protected.
As part of his directive, Dr. Alwasea urged workers to improve performance so that the displaced can receive the project's life-saving services safely and appropriately, thereby reducing their sense of vulnerability to conflict and preserving their human dignity.
