Funded by the Kuwait Balad Al-Khair Charity Organization, Conducting 65 cataract removal operations
Funded and overseen by the Balad Al-Khair Charity Organization- in the sisterly State of Kuwait, in partnership with Roya’a Hospital for Ophthalmology and Retinal Surgery, in Seiyun city, HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadramawt conducted 65 operations to remove cataracts, using the Phaco technique, as part of the Eye Surgeries Project.
The project targets low-income families from all areas of Wadi Hadramawt. All medical services under this project are provided for free, including lab tests, lens implantation, medications, and glasses.
Dr. Mahmoud Ba Jobeer, Head of the Health Department in HUMAN ACCESS Office in Wadi Hadramawt, said that HUMAN ACCESS accords great attention to this project, due to the increased cases of cataracts, thanking the Balad Al-Khair Charity Organization for its support.
Mr. Ba Jobeer expressed his wishes that the medical services under this project are continued, and free medical camps are established, especially amid the difficult conditions the country is undergoing. He also pointed out that HUMAN ACCESS, during the current year, carried out 120 surgeries to remove cataracts from patients, in partnership with many donors.
