There were many local officials present when the Community Center for IDPs of HUMAN ACCESS granted economic empowerment bags to 80 displaced women who had been trained and qualified in secretarial, archiving, photography, and handicrafts, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
During the grant ceremony, the Undersecretary of Marib Governorate, Abdullah Al-Bakri, thanked HUMAN ACCESS and UNHCR for these targeted programs, emphasizing the need to equip women and girls with skills to create small and micro businesses, as well as transforming families from recipients of support into productive families and contributing to society and family economy.
Among the professional bags distributed to the beneficiaries were 48 bags containing handicraft tools, 15 photography and video cameras, and 17 computers for secretarial trainees, in order to enable them to obtain a steady stream of income, helping to improve their families' standard of living and make them self-sufficient, thus creating a positive and tangible contribution to sustainable development.
