HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib implemented a number of targeted activities within the activities of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The objective is to bring joy to the most vulnerable children, exercise their rights and raise Yemeni women's awareness of the problems they face.

In the city of Ataq, Shabwa, the safe space organized an open day for children in the child-friendly space there. As part of the open day, a variety of entertainment and educational programs were offered to children and their mothers, aimed at promoting awareness against misbehavior, enhancing children's growth and supporting them in interacting positively with their peers and community members.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Jufaina area organized two awareness sessions, the first about mental health and its importance as a basis for physical and mental health, in the presence of 24 women and girls.

In the second session, which addressed 26 women, the focus was on gender-based violence, how women should be protected from it, and the importance of spreading awareness about it.

In Al-Mujamma area, the safe space implemented psychological support targeting a number of visitors to the space, on how to get rid of the pressures of life.

On the other hand, the safe space in Al-Matar area organized three awareness sessions, the first about the importance of personal hygiene and its role in avoiding disease, the second about psychological support and obsessive-compulsive disorder, while the third one focused on the importance of educating women.
