Under the slogan "Unite", HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Al-Mahra and Marib has continued to implement activities of the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence, under the umbrella of activities of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe space for women and girls", funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
In this regard, an awareness-raising session was organized in Al-Uboor area in Ataq city, Shabwa, under the title "Health Effects of Physical Violence", targeting more than 80 women.
The session discussed the need to mobilize more advocacy and support to combat violence in all its forms and defend women's rights.
As part of the campaign, the safe space in the city of Seiyun, Hadhramaut, launched a training course targeting 15 beneficiaries from the displaced women and the host community in the field of making incense and perfumes.
The purpose of the training is to qualify the trainees with vocational skills that help them join the labor market and empower them economically, thus making women less vulnerable to violence.
