In the presence of a number of local officials, HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate launched the third annual bazaar to market the products of beneficiaries of the economic empowerment programs for the current year 2022, as part of the protection and livelihood support project activities "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Abdullah Al-Bakri, the Undersecretary of Marib Governorate, said the rehabilitation programs for women had activated their role in society, empowered them economically, and transformed them into productive members of their families and communities.

Al-Bakri also stressed the importance of creating a permanent market to enable productive families to display their products in a way that benefits them and society in obtaining goods and products at a reasonable price.

During the 2-day bazaar, various products will be displayed that have been produced by displaced and host community women and girls who have been involved in economic empowerment programs throughout the year.

A total of 300 women have been rehabilitated and given professional tools to improve their living conditions and provide income for themselves and their families.

The products displayed in the third annual bazaar include sweets and pastries, sewing and embroidery, perfumes and incense, folklore, hairdressing and engraving, mobile phone maintenance, fine art, and a pavilion for health awareness.

The bazaar is designed to showcase the beneficiaries' work, introduce their creativity, help them develop their abilities, and give them marketing opportunities.
