As part of the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa and Marib governorates concluded a number of targeted activities funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to support and empower women and develop their capabilities in light of the difficult living conditions in the country.

Within the framework of precise procedures, the safe space conducted field verification visits for female candidates applying for economic empowerment grants in Ataq city, Shabwa. The program's objectives are to empower families economically and transform them into self-reliant and productive families through improved selection.

The safe space in Marib organized community awareness sessions and psychological support for the HUMAN ACCESS team working in Al-Mujamma and Al-Matar areas, where the issue of raising children, educating them, the dangers of early marriage, resolving family problems, and promoting positive behaviors to foster trust between family members were discussed.

In Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps, the safe space held the second quarterly meeting of the community peer network.

In the meeting, participants discussed raising awareness about the dangers of gender-based violence, addressing human rights issues, and promoting women's rights during crisis situations.

In Wadi Marib, the safe space held the second quarterly meeting of community committees to discuss several issues, including work mechanisms in the past and future, and the importance of intensifying performance to reach the desired results.

The space also concluded a confectionery/pastry making course. It furthermore launched vocational training in the arts of engraving to provide beneficiaries with the skills that qualify them to earn a living.
