Conclusion of vocational training program in field of confectionery industry in Seiyun

HUMAN ACCESS in Seiyun concluded a vocational training program in the field of confectionery in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), within the framework of the Protection and Livelihood Support Project, provided to women and girls.

The program contributed to developing the skills and capabilities of 15 women and girls in Seiyun, in the field of sweets and pastries, empowering them economically, and facilitating their access to their own income-generating projects.

HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mukalla and Marib Al-Wadi districts concluded the vocational training program in the fields of sewing and pastry-making, as part of the safe space project provided for women and girls, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The program lasted 20 days, and contributed to empowering 60 female trainees, with the required knowledge and skills, to master the arts of the sewing profession, and the arts of making sweets and pastries, qualifying them for the labor market, and developing their abilities and capabilities to provide new sources of income, to improve their economic situation.

(BQSR) grants HUMAN ACCESS the international quality certificate ISO 9001:2015

HUMAN ACCESS obtained the international quality certificate according to the international standard ISO 9001:2015, which was granted by the American Company (BQSR) after fulfilling all quality requirements.

Mr. Yahya Al-Daba, Head of HUMAN ACCESS, explained that the certificate is the culmination of the continuous and continuous efforts for humanitarian access in providing programs and projects in accordance with the requirements and standards of the quality management system, and had the honor of being the first to obtain a quality certificate since 2009 as the first non-governmental organization in Yemen.

The renewal of the quality certificate according to the international standard ISO 9001:2015 for HUMAN ACCESS represents a great incentive to develop and improve its performance and enhance the values of institutionalization, transparency and development.

HUMAN ACCESS in Al Jufaina camp in Marib governorate, within the framework of the protection and livelihood support project, provided to women and girls, funded by the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA, concluded a vocational training program in the field of sweets and pastries, which contributed to developing the skills and capabilities of the participants, encouraging them to own  their own projects, providing new sources of income to improve their social and living situation, and empowering them economically.

A team from UNHCR visited the IDPs Community Center of the HUMAN ACCESS in Marib governorate. During the visit, the team was briefed on the Center’s work, and the several major protection activities provided to the most vulnerable IDP groups. The team also discussed the challenges and obstacles facing the Centre’s work and how to be addressed and surmounted. The team as such expressed its admiration for the services and programs delivered to the IDPs.

The program was implemented within the framework of the protection and livelihood support project, provided to women and girls, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The program touched on methods of hair treatment, skin care, and modern cosmetics, and contributed to the rehabilitation of participating women and girls, enabling them to enter the labor market, and facilitating their access to income-generating projects of their own.
