The three-day workshop, attended by 30 male and female participants working in the field of protection and psychosocial support, aimed to equip them with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to improve the quality of case management services and enhance the effectiveness of responses to those most vulnerable to gender-based violence.
The workshop covered several key topics, including the definition of gender-based violence, its forms and causes, the concept of case management, humanitarian principles, assessment and intervention skills, referral and documentation mechanisms, and ethical principles for dealing with women survivors.
In the presence of Ms. Hekma Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Social Defense Department at the Hadhramaut Coast Social Affairs and Labor Office, the workshop ended with an open discussion session during which experiences and expertise were exchanged and coordination mechanisms between the relevant institutions were strengthened, contributing to the construction of an effective protection network that supports women survivors and preserves their dignity and rights.
