A set of activities were implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate for the Protection and Livelihood Support Project "Safe Space for Women and Girls," sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to improve the status of Yemeni women and their access to rights, opportunities, and services.

In this regard, a closing ceremony was held in Al-Matar area where the safe space honored 13 women trainees who completed a sewing training program.

These trainees have been qualified in this income-generating profession to be able to join the labor market, earn a living, and achieve self-reliance.

In Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps, the safe space concluded vocational training courses in sewing and sweets/ pastries making for the first quarter of this year.

25 women trainees attended the courses to improve their living conditions in light of the multiple economic and humanitarian crises resulting from the conflict in Yemen.

In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space completed a training program in sewing and tailoring for 13 women, in addition to implementing a life, financial and marketing skills course for beneficiaries of the vocational rehabilitation, to equip them with the basic skills to launch their own businesses and engage in the labor market.

In Wadi Marib, the safe space concluded a life, financial and marketing skills course for 25 beneficiaries in tailoring and hairdressing.

Additionally, the safe space conducted a field visit to document and follow up on a successful economic empowerment story involving the opening of an accessories store and its inspiring entrepreneurial journey.
