As part of the 16-day campaign activities to combat gender-based violence, and with funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the community center for IDPs of HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate carried out a community awareness campaign in Bir al-Walidain camp targeting 15 displaced women.
The community awareness included explaining the campaign and defining violence against women, which can take various forms, such as physical abuse, threatening women at work and exploiting their needs through deprivation or pressure.
These methods of denial and pressure are among the most widespread and devastating human rights violations in our world today, which remain largely unknown due to the impunity and silence that surrounds them.
