Organized by HUMAN ACCESS in partnership with UNHCR, last Wednesday, the Community Center for IDPs in Marib Governorate held a coordination meeting for agencies working in the field of protection in the governorate.

In the presence of representatives of a number of agencies and organizations, the agenda of the meeting was to coordinate between the agencies working in protection in the governorate, discuss protection needs, cooperate between the acting partners, and update the services map.

In the meeting, the director general of the Social Affairs and Labor office, Abdulhakim Al-Qaisi, stressed the importance of doubling humanitarian efforts in the field of community protection for the displaced and host community, noting that the governorate hosts more than 140 camps and displacement sites.

Al-Qaisi also pointed to the need for coordination and joint action between all international and local organizations working in the field of protection and support for humanitarian work, the importance of updating the map of services, and sharing data between working agencies.

For his part, Saleh Qasim, the secretary general of the Human Access - Marib branch, explained the role of Human Access in the humanitarian field and the promotion of protection projects in the governorate, highlighting the importance and role of teamwork and the integration of efforts by all organizations working in the field of protection to provide better services to IDPs and host community, especially at this exceptional stage that requires more coordinated humanitarian efforts.

Qasim reviewed a variety of projects implemented by the branch in various areas of development in the governorate in partnership with international organizations.
