HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate concluded the project of rehabilitation and vocational training for youth (My Craft in My Hand), funded by the International Islamic Charity Organization - Kuwait.
A major objective of the project is to provide young people with a professional and technical training in the field of designing and graphics, secretarial skills and computer driving, hairdressing and cosmetology, sewing and embroidery, photography, candy and pastry making, electronic marketing, alternative energy repair, phone maintenance, and self-understanding courses, in order to combat poverty and unemployment.
The project targeted 235 young men and women in the governorates of Marib, Hadhramaut, and Taiz, including 75 young men and women who had been economically empowered in sweets/pastry making, sewing, graphics, photography, mobile phone maintenance, hairdresser, and alternative energy maintenance.”
Having been provided with the requirements of the profession as well as the skills necessary to practice those skills, the trainees were able to enter the labor market, earn a living, and become self-sufficient in light of Yemen's harsh economic and living conditions.
