HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate concluded a project to rehabilitate 4 schools in Al-Jufainah camp for displaced people, funded by the International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO), Kuwait.
The project includes constructing 4 shade hangars, supplying and installing 900 double chairs and 27 temporary school classrooms made of air-conditioned nets.
Additionally, the project involves providing water tanks, water coolers, cupboards, printers, devices, and furniture to the four schools targeted by the project: Ammar Bin Yasser, Omar Al-Mukhtar, Al-Yarmouk, and Al-Tahrir School, to provide opportunities for learning for the most vulnerable children and restore the Yemeni education sector.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Abab, praised the interventions of HUMAN ACCESS and IICO and the humanitarian giving that the State of Kuwait provides to Yemenis within the “Kuwait is by your side” campaign, stressing the importance of these sustainable projects to confront development challenges and the large crowding in schools as a result of the high student density in the governorate.
Likewise, Muhammad Marsh, Director of the Education Office in Marib City, stressed the importance of these interventions to meet the urgent need for educational projects, pointing to the high student density in Al-Jufaina camp.
