With funding from the International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) in the State of Kuwait, HUMAN ACCESS has launched a vocational training and rehabilitation program for young people in three Yemeni governorates, Hadhramaut, Marib and Taiz.
Through this program, 254 young men and women will be able to acquire vocational skills in order to participate in the labor market and improve their economic situation in a sustainable manner.
The program focuses on vital and important sectors, such as design, graphics, professional photography, hairdressing, sweets and pastries, incense and perfumes, computers, secretarial work, and the maintenance of electronics, mobile phone, and alternative energy.
A component of the program is to distribute economic empowerment toolkits to the distinguished, so that they can get started with their own ventures.
The program comes as part of the broader efforts made by HUMAN ACCESS with the support of the International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO) to empower young people of both genders in order to provide a stable developmental source that guarantees them a decent life amidst the escalating poverty and unemployment as a result of the eight-year-old conflict in Yemen, which has had a profound effect on Yemeni people and all sectors of the economy.
