The Community Center for IDPs of HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate received Ms. Marion Morgan, Protection Officer at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Aden, Mr. Lawand Talal, Protection Officer at the UNHCR office in Marib, along with their accompanying delegation.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the community center’s departments, the work mechanism, and the efforts made to support displaced people who live in a very vulnerable situation, especially the most vulnerable women and girls in the Yemeni crisis.
The visiting delegation commended the services provided and the innovative means of delivering high-quality services within the protection project funded by UNHCR.
On the sidelines of the visit, Ms. Marion handed over certificates of participation to ten of the community center’s cadres, who participated a few days ago in a training program organized by UNHCR on the complaint mechanism and protection from sexual assault and exploitation.
The key objective of the training was to mitigate exploitation, violation, and the dire consequences for perpetrators of fraud cases against vulnerable families.
