Funded by UNHCR, 35,000 displaced families in Marib governorate benefit from cash aid project
There, in the camps for the displaced, families live in exceptional conditions imposed by severe living difficulties. In order to alleviate the suffering and address its repercussions and effects, HUMAN ACCESS, in partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), responded by extending a helping hand to the displaced by providing cash assistance to preserve dignity and allay fears.
35,193 IDP family beneficiaries
In the context of carrying out the humanitarian and fraternal duty towards the displaced and relieving their suffering, the HUMAN ACCESS protection project at the Community Center for IDPs in Marib provided multi-purpose cash assistance in an effort to offer the necessary needs of the displaced in terms of food, health and education.
The project planned to assist 35,193 poor and displaced families in the districts of Marib city, Al-Wadi, Sirwah, Al-Juba, and Hareeb, during the period from January to July 2021. It was not an indiscriminate targeting, but rather according to precise criteria and a transparent mechanism.
Decent life
Receiving multi-purpose cash on a regular basis during the period between March and July 2021 created great joy that restored hope to the families targeted by the project, thanking HUMAN ACCESS and UNHCR for their generous support in providing the most important livelihood requirements and a decent life.
