To improve the performance of staff under the protection project, two training courses were completed in Marib Governorate, financed and implemented by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

HUMAN ACCESS’ community centers for the displaced in Marib city and Marib Al-Wadi districts participated with members of the community protection network, volunteers, and a number of employees.

The first session lasted for four days, with the participation of 120 members of the Community Protection Network and assistant volunteers focusing on the skills and methods of primary psychosocial support.

Based on an assessment by the UNHCR office in Aden Governorate, which confirms their need for these crucial skills, the training is designed to make sure they can provide high-quality psychological support to beneficiaries.

Over the 2-day course, 24 employees of two community centers for IDPs participated in the second training course on gender protection and risk reduction in all sectors, especially the general protection and shelter sectors.

A key objective of this training is to develop the ability of the trainees to mainstream and integrate gender protection into various interventions.
