The Community Center for Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Marib Governorate received the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen, Ms. Maya Amira Tonga.
She and her accompanying delegation were briefed on the center’s services necessary to protect the displaced, who live in a very vulnerable situation, especially the most vulnerable women and girls in the Yemeni crisis.
Ms. Maya’s visit is the first to HUMAN ACCESS's community center for IDPs, which is managing the Protection Project, in partnership with the UNHCR, to provide assistance to displaced people struggling in very tragic circumstances.
The visit was followed by a meeting with UNHCR partners in Marib, attended by HUMAN ACCESS.
