HUMAN ACCESS' Community Center for IDPs in Marib Governorate has established several intensive training courses designed to empower women economically through various income-generating crafts.
These crafts include the manufacture of resins, candles, incense burners, and hats, as well as the manufacture of dining table mat covers and umbrellas from palm leaves, with funding from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The training programs target 60 women from the displaced and the host community in Al-Suwayda camp for IDPs and are part of various activities that the community center intends to implement in conjunction with the 16 Days of Activism campaign to combat gender-based violence.
The goal of the training is to help the most vulnerable women earn a living as one of the effective ways that allows them to confront violence, live independently, and build a prosperous life.
