Mr. Peter Fitzmaurice, Director of UNHCR Office in Marib Governorate, paid a visit to the HUMAN ACCESS’ Community Center for IDPs in Marib, which is funded by UNHCR.
During the visit, the work of the Community Centre for IDPs was reviewed, primarily its major projects, activities, and services. Mr. Peter and his team got acquainted with the most important areas of humanitarian interventions implemented by the Center in Marib, and the positive outcomes and indicators it achieved during the last period.
The team also visited the Center's Child-friendly Space, which coincided with the “Open Day Event” that was organized by the Friendly Space on the occasion of the International Day against Child Labor. The team also met with the Center's staff and was briefed on its units and work mechanism in place.
Mr. Peter discussed with the Center's officials the challenges faced by the Center, and the importance of the positive impact of its activities on the lives of the target people. He also praised the long and accumulated experience that the Center has.
In this visit, the Director was welcomed by the Project Manager, Mr. Abdul Rahman Yassin, Accountability Officer, and Protection Officer.
