HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate implemented awareness-raising activities within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to improve awareness of the status and rights of women as half of society and half of wealth and capabilities.
In Al-Matar area, the safe space hosted three community awareness sessions, the first on the foundations of a happy home, while the second was on the importance of exploiting resources and opportunities to empower women and girls, attended by 29 women.
"Satisfaction in Life" was the title of the third session, organized to inform women in Yemen of their important role in society, elevate their cultural level, and enhance their participation in public life.
In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space conducted three awareness sessions, the first on the complaints and suggestions mechanism, attended by 15 women, and the second discussed the effects of divorce on children, attended by 12 women.
Additionally, the session consisted of family counseling and psychological support on enduring hardships and remaining patient when facing adversity.
With the attendance of 15 women, the third session addressed the topic of alimony and its provisions, and presented the safe space services. The session also provided family counseling as well as psychological support under the title “Thanking for Forgotten Blessings.”
