Mr. Ahmed Sharaf, UNFPA Gender Sub-cluster Coordinator was received in Seiyun city by Mr. Majid Ba Ramadeh, Assistant Director of HUMAN ACCESS in Wadi Hadramout, and Ms. Sundos Al-Saidi, Protection and Livelihood Project Coordinator (Safe Space for Women and Girls).
During the reception, Mr. Ahmed Sharaf was briefed by the Safe Space Coordinator on the activities and the various projects undertaken by the Space, with a view to empower Yemeni women and low-income households to establish their own projects to enhance their living and economic conditions.
The visit also included a tour to review work progression of service providers and the most important challenges they faced during the provision of services to the community. The visit involved a plenary meeting with the project workers, where the ideas and proposals to upgrade work were discussed.
The UNFPA Gender Sub-Cluster Coordinator expressed his satisfaction and admiration for the services and the efforts exerted to make the Safe Space Project for Women and Girls in Seiyuin a success which extended for the third year now.
