HUMAN ACCESS in Hadhramaut Governorate launched the (My Craft is My Safe 2) program in Mukalla city. It is a vocational and craft rehabilitation and training program that targets orphaned girls and widows in the fields of “hairdressing and cosmetology, perfume and incense making, henna engraving, sewing and tailoring,” as an important window to address poverty and unemployment.
As a result of this program, 49 trainees from the target group will receive training in specific professional fields in order to equip them with the skills necessary for the labor market, earning a living, becoming self-sufficient, and contributing to the establishment of small businesses, which are integral to the national economy.
In his remarks at the inauguration, Dr. Salem Saleh Bajaber, Director General of the Ministry of Technical Education & Vocational Training office in Sahel Hadhramaut, praised the efforts of HUMAN ACCESS to target orphans and widows, promote sustainable livelihoods, create job opportunities, and boost income in light of the country's challenging circumstances.
