With the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS conducted a number of activities in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib as part of the project "Safe Space for Women and Girls" to make women aware of their rights and to enhance their participation in society, as well as to enhance their social protection for sustainable development.

In the city of Ataq, Shabwa, the safe space held a periodic meeting for the second quarter of this year for female members of the protection network along with a training course in the field of protection and the standards and requirements of humanitarian action.

Moreover, the safe space offered a course for volunteer members of peer networks to enhance their capability and provide them with some protection-related knowledge and skills.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Matar area organized a number of awareness sessions, including two legal awareness sessions, the first about women's rights at work and building society as a partner in life and representing half of society, while the second, targeting a number of visitors to the safe space, stressed the importance of obtaining identification papers as a legally guaranteed right.

Furthermore, three group awareness and psychological support sessions were conducted targeting a number of visitors to the space and members of the peer network in Al-Najah camp to introduce the safe space services provided for the advancement of women.

Additionally, in Al-Mujamma area, the safe space carried out an awareness session for members of the community-based committees in Al-Faw and Al-Muhaimid camps addressing the phenomenon of early marriage and its harms.
