With the assistance of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib has conducted a wide range of activities under the protection and livelihoods project "Safe Space for Women and Girls". The objective is to facilitate women's participation in development at all levels, enhance their positions and access to full rights, and ensure that they have access to all services and opportunities across all sectors.

The safe space in Ataq, Shabwa, offered a life skills course in sewing and desserts/pastries to train female trainees in financial and marketing skills needed to successfully manage private projects for economic empowerment.

The space also launched a training course in the field of making sweets/pastry for 12 beneficiaries, to equip them with the necessary skills in this profession and push them into the labor market to earn a living and support their families.

The safe space in Al-Mujamma area of Marib has concluded a resin production training program for 14 beneficiaries, a new profession and craft that has a growing demand from consumers, based on an analysis of market needs, which is expected to generate income for beneficiaries.

The safe space also carried out community awareness for a number of visitors to the space, which focused on the services provided to women and girls and the importance of patience in solving family problems and overcoming them.

An awareness campaign was organized in Al-Jufaina area by the safe space about the legal culture and its importance for preserving women's rights, while in Al-Rawda and Al-Mil camps, the safe space continued vocational rehabilitation programs for 24 trainees in sewing and hairdressing for the purpose of providing them with skills they can use for income generation.

Meanwhile, Al-Wadi safe space tracked the training process at the sweets/pastry factory and encouraged trainees to take advantage of this opportunity.

The safe space in Al-Matar area organized group psychological support sessions for the HUMAN ACCESS team to enhance their professional capabilities and resist work pressures.

The safe space also continued to verify the data of the beneficiaries and their ability to access empowerment services and achieve the desired goals.

Furthermore, the space conducted an awareness session for a number of visitors to the space, addressing several important issues for the development of women in Yemen and the advancement of their capabilities.
