With funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Shabwa and Marib carried out a number of important activities within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", believing in the need to empower women and develop their skills, especially in such harsh conditions left by the ongoing conflict in the country.
To this end, in the city of Ataq, Shabwa, the safe space launched its vocational training programs for the second quarter of this year, with a training course in the field of sewing and tailoring for 12 trainees.
Besides providing trainees with life skills, the course also emphasizes managing private projects to enhance vulnerable groups' livelihoods and prevent them from falling into poverty and unemployment.
In Marib, the safe space in Al-Matar area performed a group psychological support session on self-confidence and self-building. It also concluded two training courses in the fields of handicrafts and the manufacture of incense and perfumes by organizing a closing ceremony and a bazaar for the products of the 30 women trainees.
This bazaar revealed that the trainees have benefited greatly during the 10-day training.
