In partnership with YHF, awareness sessions on hygiene and a healthy lifestyle were undertaken for IDPs
Under the project of “Minimum integrated package of WASH and Protection services for the most vulnerable IDPs in Hadhramaut and Shabwa, HUMAN ACCESS in Al-Mukalla carried out awareness sessions for IDPs on “hygiene and healthy lifestyle”.
The awareness-raising session targeted IDPs Camps (Samo’un, Al-Khazan, Haret Al-Houtah and the neighboring areas). The sessions focused on raising awareness on proper handwashing using soap and water, water maintaining and treatment, proper disposal of human waste, the importance of breastfeeding and balanced nutrition for child, nutrition for pregnant mother, in addition to importance of frequent visits by the pregnant mother to health centers throughout pregnancy.
