As part of the activities of the project to provide livelihood services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS distributed 28 livelihood grants to empower vulnerable families with the tools for production and decent livelihoods.

14 grants were distributed in Al-Ghaydah city in Al-Mahra Governorate, in the fields of sewing and tailoring, and the manufacture of sweets and pastries, and 14 grants were distributed in Al-Makha district in Taiz Governorate, in the fields of sewing and tailoring, hairdressing and beauty, and henna and inscriptions. Each distributed grant involves the basic requirements for entering the labor market.

These grants are part of a larger distribution of 150 grants across several Yemeni governorates. The women benefiting from these grants received vocational training, equipping them with the necessary skills to start practicing their professions. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of conflict-affected communities and provide employment opportunities that contribute to improving the economic and living conditions of beneficiary families.
