HUMAN ACCESS has implemented a series of vital activities as part of a project providing livelihood services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Regarding empowerment, seven livelihood grants were distributed in Al-Rawda area of Marib Governorate, covering the fields of tailoring and sewing, as well as pastry and confectionery making. Each grant included the essential supplies needed to launch a trade—provided after the women beneficiaries had acquired the necessary vocational skills.

These efforts are part of ongoing work to strengthen the resilience of conflict-affected communities and create job opportunities that improve the economic and living conditions of families in need.

Additionally, 13 women undergoing vocational training participated in an intensive three-day course covering essential life, financial, and marketing skills. This training was designed to equip them to enter the labor market, market their own projects, and constructively navigate professional and personal challenges.

On the protection front, the Safe Space for Women and Girls in Al-Qahirah District, Taiz Governorate, received four displaced women accompanied by four children. These women had sustained shrapnel injuries due to the ongoing conflict in the governorate. Case management services were provided, alongside essential support such as primary medical care and psychological support, as well as referrals to partners for further necessary services.
