HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate performed various activities within the framework of the protection and livelihood support project “Safe Space for Women and Girls”, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to ensure that women in Yemen obtain their rights and enhance their participation in society.
In Al-Jufaina area, and as part of ongoing efforts to raise community awareness of women’s rights and their important role in society, the safe space carried out awareness sessions to introduce the space services.
As part of the sessions, the participants were taught family rights and duties, the rights of women to dowries, the importance of life planning, problem-solving skills, and family consultations.
In Al-Matar area, the safe space organized community awareness about the impact of social networking sites on children as well as psychological support on psychological resilience.
Additionally, in preparation for qualifying those who are most in need for the program, the safe space continued field visits to examine the eligibility of cases for vocational training with respect to precise standards.
Al-Mujamma safe space also held a focus discussion on vocational choice and market analysis, in the presence of 22 women applying for vocational training.
