HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate implemented a number of awareness-raising activities within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to improve awareness and educate women about their rights and issues and enhance their role in local communities.
There were six awareness sessions conducted by the safe space in Al-Matar area, attended by a group of women and girls. The topics covered were domestic violence, legal consultations, obtaining identification documents, women's rights, the foundations of success, and the negative effects of parents' quarrels in front of their children.
As part of the Yemen humanitarian crisis, psychological support is being provided for women and girls facing psychological pressure.
Moreover, six awareness sessions were held in Al-Jufaina area safe space, addressing the importance of legal consultations and identification documents, getting personal cards, social role of women, family counseling, and the complaints and suggestions box.
The participants also received psychological support on patience, the importance of psychological security, and family counselling, as well as a recreational activity for 55 girls to bring enjoyment to their hearts.
