Al-Mahra and Marib: Meeting for protection network members and various awareness sessions
With the goal of supporting and educating Yemeni women about their issues and their rights, HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Al-Mahra and Marib carried out a range of activities under United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls".
In Al-Ghaydah district of Al-Mahra, the first periodic meeting of the members of the protection network was held for the first quarter of this year.
The meeting focused on discussing the activities and services provided by the safe space and the mechanism by which the network works in support of women and girls as well as society's advancement.
In Marib, the safe space in Al-Matar area held psychological, legal, social and health awareness sessions targeting a number of visitors to the space.
The sessions addressed important issues related to women's rights, the importance of family harmony, psychological pressures and their effects, as well as education on breast cancer.
