A series of activities has been implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in the governorates of Al-Mahra and Marib with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The program is designed to improve women's participation in the labor market, provide opportunities for professional development, and promote their legitimate rights in order to build a prosperous society in Yemen.

In the city of Al-Ghaydah in Al-Mahra, the safe space held a periodic meeting for the protection and peer network members for the second quarter of this year.

There was a discussion of various services offered by the space to protect and support women and girls, along with a working paper on the challenges facing students and staff in universities and coming up with a number of recommendations.

In Marib, the safe space in Al-Jufaina area organized awareness sessions for a number of displaced women about self-confidence and self-development, in addition to organizing group psychological support sessions for the HUMAN ACCESS team to improve performance in the field and overcome problems.

To ensure the success of the economic empowerment grants, the safe space conducted field verification of the empowerment entitlement of 32 beneficiaries of vocational training in sewing and hairdressing.

Meanwhile, the safe space in Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps carried out a field visit to verify the beneficiaries who are actually eligible for economic empowerment grants and who are able to run small businesses and achieve the desired success.

Moreover, the safe space offered life and marketing skills training to beneficiaries of economic empowerment projects so that they could enter the job market and overcome challenges.

The space in Al-Rawda area and Al-Mil camps also hosted the second quarterly meeting of the network of community committees to discuss a range of performance-related issues.

Furthermore, the safe space in Al-Wadi district held the second quarterly meeting of peer networks, during which a number of issues were covered, including the previous work mechanism and its positive impact, as well as the new mechanism and how it will advocate for women in the future.
