On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on December 3 of each year, HUMAN ACCESS in Marib governorate held a recreational day in a private park for 30 children with special needs, as part of the integrated three-cluster project, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
During the 16-day campaign, the recreational day was part of a series of activities to combat violence against women and girls, which included a variety of purposeful activities, such as a psychological support program for the targeted children and gifts, demonstrating the belief that disability rights are human rights.
A major part of the event was raising awareness about the situation of people with disabilities in all aspects of their life and enhancing their leadership skills for a sustainable and comprehensive future.
