Funded by the Rizq-ar-Rahman Charitable Foundation - Malaysia, HUMAN ACCESS implemented the winter blanket and food basket project. The components of the project included the distribution of blankets and food baskets consisting of flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, legumes, sauce and dates, benefiting 480 displaced people in the Yemeni governorate of Marib.
The project aims to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, most of whom are women and children, who lack the most basic winter needs in the absence of many services.
The human suffering of the displaced is exacerbated further during the winter season, especially since the climate of Marib is harsh, with a desert nature that is very dry and cold in winter.
