In the current year 2023, 40 male and female orphans benefited from the "My vision first" project, which was implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa governorate in collaboration with Al-Shifa Consultative Hospital in Ataq city. The goal is to reduce blindness and vision problems, and to prevent amblyopia, which is widespread among children and difficult to treat at a late stage.
A total of 18 orphans received medical glasses, and 16 others received medicines as part of the project.
In the midst of the escalating conflict in the country and a lack of access to health care, this project is considered one of the qualitative projects implemented by the health sector in the governorate targeting orphans in Ataq as a first step.
