HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa Governorate carried out public awareness of HIV/AIDS epidemic during the period from 1 to 10 December.
The campaign targeted 550 male and female individuals in the marginalized and displaced communities and the central prison in Ataq city, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Public Health and Population office in the governorate.
A free medical consultation, medication, and private voluntary examination were provided as part of the public awareness campaign, which coincides with World AIDS Day, which occurs on December 1st of each year, in order to raise awareness of this incurable disease, prevent it, and limit its spread, particularly among vulnerable communities and groups.
