With support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), HUMAN ACCESS in Marib Governorate continues to provide legal document issuance services to the most vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs) as part of the integrated project activities in the governorate.

From the beginning of 2026 until the end of May, 1,037 male and female beneficiaries were able to obtain electronic national identity cards, a crucial document for daily life and for accessing social safety nets and protection mechanisms.

The document issuance service includes raising awareness about the importance of obtaining these documents and the requirements for obtaining them, assisting beneficiaries in acquiring the necessary documents and paying the fees, and accompanying them through the entire process until the documents are issued, in coordination with the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority.

This essential service empowers beneficiaries to prove their legal identity and facilitates their access to basic services and rights, thereby enhancing their legal protection and mitigating the challenges associated with lack of documentation, as well as providing a safer environment for all.
