A number of activities were implemented by HUMAN ACCESS in Marib governorate as part of the UNFPA-funded project “Safe Space for Women and Girls” to educate women about their rights and allow them to earn a steady income through income-generating projects while providing supplies for their establishment.
In Al-Mujamma area, the safe space concluded a training course in the field of sewing and tailoring for 16 women beneficiaries.
In Wadi Marib, the safe space concluded a life and marketing skills program for a number of beneficiaries of vocational training in sewing and sweets/pastry-making to help them engage in the labor market and improve their economic situation in a sustainable manner.
A number of displaced women from Al-Jufaina area participated in community awareness sessions about family dialogue and the importance of a violence-free home, as well as an awareness session about gender-based violence for 17 women.
The space also carried out group psychological support for the HUMAN ACCESS team and psychological support for 22 women on the importance of self-building.
The space in Al-Matar area organized two awareness sessions for a number of visitors to the space.
