Through the "Safe Space for Women and Girls" protection and livelihood support project funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS has implemented various activities in Marib Governorate. Women in Yemen need to be introduced to their rights, given economic empowerment, and equipped with vocational skills that will help them become self-reliant.
In Al-Jufaina area, the safe space concluded a life, financial and marketing skills course with the participation of 28 beneficiaries of vocational training in the fields of sewing and hairdressing.
The peers network committee in the safe space also carried out an awareness session targeting 29 displaced young men about the phenomenon of early marriage and its negative repercussions on societies.
The safe space in Al Jufaina also conducted community awareness on the view of Sharia and law on women, as well as a session focusing on the role of the safe space in combating gender-based violence and other roles to empower and support women so that they can succeed, and to help them develop their abilities and talents as a priority.
In Al-Matar area, the safe space organized legal awareness sessions and group psychological support for a number of female visitors to the space.
