Under the slogan "Unite", and with funding from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), HUMAN ACCESS in Shabwa and Marib governorates continued to implement activities of the 16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence as part of the protection and livelihood support project activities "Safe Space for Women and Girls".
In the activities, women were reminded about the threat of violence against them and how important it is to protect them.
In this regard, an awareness lecture about AIDS was carried out at the Imam Al-Bayhani School in the city of Ataq in Shabwa, in the presence of 110 people.
Two awareness sessions were also held, the first one focusing on the importance of women's participation in decision-making, with the participation of 64 women, girls and children.
The second session, titled "Put your mark against violence", has emphasized the importance of women not neglecting their legitimate and legal rights.
Several activities were carried out by the safe space for women and girls in Al-Wadi district in Marib, which included the distribution of safe delivery bags, promoting awareness, and holding a periodic meeting to recognize and honor some distinguished workers who have contributed to the success of the project plan.
It also held a ceremony to honor the safe space volunteers of the community-based committees and peer networks.
In Al-Jufaina camp, the safe space organized an educational activity for 22 women in a school on issues related to psychological and emotional violence.
