On the occasion of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, "Pink October," HUMAN ACCESS organized two awareness-raising activities as part of the project to provide livelihood services to the most vulnerable women and girls in Yemen, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The first event was held in Ataq, Shabwah Governorate, while the second in Al-Jufaina camp for IDPs in Marib Governorate. The goal was to educate the public about the risks of breast cancer among women and ways to prevent it, as awareness-raising activities contribute to reducing the risk.
It is worth noting that October is designated as a breast cancer awareness month each year, in an effort to raise awareness among women and encourage preventive health programs for early detection of the disease.
